Be sure and tune into the Hyundai Tournament of Champions this weekend as PGA TOUR winners from the 2011 season “Experience Troon Golf” and Kapalua’s iconic Plantation Course in Hawaii. Troon recently presented a $20,000 donation to Phoenix Children’s Hospital during a fundraising tournament at Troon North Golf Club in Arizona, which raised money to help fulfill the needs of patients and families served by the hospital!

The donation was generated through “Troon’s Hit the Green for Phoenix Children’s Hospital” program, which ran for several days at 10 Troon-managed facilities in Arizona. All the credit goes to the generous golfers who participated by donating $10 each, earning a chance to win a 2012 Troon Card and a golf vacation to Indian Wells Golf Resort by hitting the green on a par three.

Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. kicked off “Troon’s Hit the Green for Phoenix Children’s Hospital” program today on the 9th hole of the South Course!

As part of Troon’s partnership with the hospital, 10 daily-fee facilities in Arizona are joining together to raise money to help meet the needs of patients and their families. On select dates from November 1-12, golfers playing the Troon courses listed below will be asked to donate $10 in an attempt to hit the green on designated par 3s.

Golfers who participate receive a voucher for 15% off at the host facility’s golf shop. Those who hit the green earn a 30% off golf shop voucher and anyone who lands their shot within 10-feet of the hole automatically wins a free 2012 National Twosome Troon Card. In addition, everyone who participates will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a golf vacation to Indian Wells Golf Resort, home of Big Break Indian Wells in California, which will include a 3-day, 2-night stay, and 2 twosomes of golf.
